In the thesis it is discussed a recently proposed no-go theorem, inspired by Wigner's friend paradox on the compatibility of the deterministic unitary causal evolution with the probabilistic non-unitary character of measurement process in quantum mechanics. In the paper where such theorem is presented, published in Nature Physics, by means of new inequalities it is proved that a suitable negation of determinism, locality and absolutness of observed events are incompatible if the description of observers is internal to quantum mechanics.

Abstract
In the thesis it is discussed a recently proposed no-go theorem, inspired by Wigner's friend paradox on the compatibility of the deterministic unitary causal evolution with the probabilistic non-unitary character of measurement process in quantum mechanics. In the paper where such theorem is presented, published in Nature Physics, by means of new inequalities it is proved that a suitable negation of determinism, locality and absolutness of observed events are incompatible if the description of observers is internal to quantum mechanics.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
