L’influenza del caregiver nelle possibilità di azione del bambino di 2 anni

The present study aims to investigate the influence of contextual, parental, and sociO-emotional developmental characteristics on motor development in a sample of 42 children aged from 20 to 38 months. The first chapter introduces the study of motor development, first presenting Thelen's (1995) dynamic systems model, and then goes on to define how motor development and motor skills are investigated in the second year of age. In the second chapter is presented the parenting construct and Belsky's (1984) model of transition to parenthood and then the research about the association between motor development and parental characteristics such as psychological well-being and parenting behaviors. Finally, has been explained the construct of parenting stress by Abidin's (1992) and studies investigating the relationship between parental stress, parenting behaviors and developmental outcomes. The third chapter presents the research and the purpose of the paper. These aim to investigate: the relationship between motor development and contextual variables (child's sex and age, SES, parental educational level); the association between instruments investigating parental well-being and parental behaviors; and to explore the relationship between parental stress and child motor development.

Il presente studio si propone d’indagare l’influenza di caratteristiche contestuali, del genitore e di sviluppo socio-emotivo sullo sviluppo motorio in un campione di 42 bambini di età compresa tra i 20 e i 38 mesi. Il primo capitolo introduce lo studio dello sviluppo motorio, presentando dapprima il modello di sistemi dinamici di Thelen (1995), per poi proseguire definendo come viene indagato lo sviluppo motorio e le competenze motorie nel secondo anno d’età. Nel secondo capitolo viene presentato il costrutto di genitorialità e il modello di transizione alla genitorialità di Belsky (1984), per poi approfondire lo stato dell’arte rispetto all’associazione tra sviluppo motorio e caratteristiche del genitore quali il suo benessere psicologico e i comportamenti genitoriali. Infine, viene presentato il costrutto di stress genitoriale spiegato dal modello di Abidin (1992) e gli studi che indagano la relazione tra stress genitoriale, comportamenti genitoriali e outcome di sviluppo. Nel terzo capitolo viene presentata la ricerca e gli obiettivi dell’elaborato. Questi si propongono d’indagare: la relazione tra sviluppo motorio e variabili contestuali (sesso e età del bambino, SES, livello d’istruzione dei genitori); l’associazione tra gli strumenti che indagano il benessere del genitore e i comportamenti genitoriali; e esplorare la relazione tra stress genitoriale e sviluppo motorio del bambino.
