The finding of a group of 111 letters written by Aleardo Aleardi to Countess Ida Correr Fornasari allows more clearly reconstruct the relation of remarkable intimacy established between the famous poet of Verona and the young venetian composer. In this work some obscure details in the life and characters of both personalities are brought to light. The correspondence is composed of 111 documents in Aleardi’s own hand and is preserved in a private collection in Padua. Except a few letters, the correspondence it is almost unpublished and covers the period from 1868 and 1878. A critical introduction is followed by the whole transcriptions of the letters in their original draft. Where it was necessary, explicatory notes to the texts were added.
Il ritrovamento di un gruppo di 111 lettere autografe inviate da Aleardo Aleardi alla contessa Ida Correr Fornasari consente di ricostruire con maggiore chiarezza il rapporto di intima amicizia instauratosi fra il celebre letterato veronese e la giovane compositrice veneziana. Nel lavoro sono anche messi in luce determinati aspetti, finora poco conosciuti, relativi alla vicende biografiche e alla personalità di entrambi i corrispondenti. L’epistolario, formato da 111 documenti conservati presso una collezione privata di Padova, è in gran parte inedito e riguarda il periodo fra il 1868 e il 1878. Precedute da un’introduzione critica, le 111 lettere sono integralmente trascritte nella forma originale e sono inoltre corredate di note esplicative.
