Disabilità Intellettiva e lavoro. l'esperienza presso la Comunità Alloggio "Casa Maria Adelaide".

In this paper the topic covered is that of Intellectual Disability put in relation to work activity. We investigated the various definitions and characteristics that the person with disability has had throughout history, with the different regulations, laws and conventions in force regarding disability. The theme of work is then addressed, seeing how it has become a tool of emancipation also for people with disabilities as well, in that, it goes to form the identity of the individual and contributes to his or general well-being, with attention also given to the sphere of social relationships. Every job placement of people with intellectual disabilities must be followed by planning and accompanied by an educational path, which must be individualized and well structured, in order to make a way that the work activity is profitable and constructive for the worker and for the company itself. The analysis of these issues arose from my internship experience in the present academic year at the Housing Community "Casa Maria Adelaide" .

In questo elaborato il tema trattato è quello della Disabilità Intellettiva messo in relazione con l’attività lavorativa. Si è indagato sulle varie definizioni e caratteristiche che la persona con disabilità ha avuto nel corso della storia, con le diverse normative, leggi e convenzioni vigenti in materia di disabilità. Viene affrontato poi il tema del lavoro, vedendo come esso sia diventato uno strumento di emancipazione anche per la persona con disabilità, in quanto, va a formare l’identità dell’individuo e contribuisce al suo benessere generale, ponendo l’attenzione anche alla sfera delle relazioni sociali. Ogni inserimento lavorativo delle persone con disabilità intellettiva va seguito da una programmazione e accompagnato da un percorso educativo, che deve essere individualizzato e ben strutturato, per fare un modo che l’attività lavorativa sia proficua e costruttiva per il lavoratore e per l’azienda stessa. L’analisi di questi temi è nata dall’esperienza di tirocinio da me compiuta nel seguente anno accademico presso la Comunità Alloggio “Casa Maria Adelaide”.
