The thesis focuses on the complex role of professional educators, exploring three key themes: first, the concept of the "right distance" between educators and educators is deepened, with particular attention to the emotional challenges in adolescence and the balance between authority and respect for the freedom of educators. Next, the role of emotion in education is analyzed and a significant focus is placed on empathy as a catalyst for an empathic connection between educators and educationists. Finally, my internship at the educational community for minors "Giuseppe Olivotti" is presented, focusing on a particular user, including a detailed analysis of the specific challenges faced and the strategies adopted to overcome. The integration of these three themes aims to provide a comprehensive view of the skills and challenges faced by professional educators, thus contributing to critical reflection on training and educational intervention in juvenile communities.
La tesi si focalizza sul ruolo complesso degli educatori professionali, esplorando tre temi chiave: in primo luogo, viene approfondito il concetto della “giusta distanza” tra educatori ed educandi, con particolare attenzione alle sfide emotive nell’ambito dell’adolescenza e al bilanciamento tra autorità e rispetto per la libertà degli educandi. Successivamente, si analizza il ruolo dell'emozione nell’educazione e un focus significativo è posto sull’empatia come elemento catalizzatore per una connessione empatica tra educatori ed educandi. Infine, viene presentato il mio percorso di tirocinio presso la comunità educativa per minori “Giuseppe Olivotti”, concentrando l’attenzione su un utente in particolare, includendo un’analisi dettagliata delle sfide specifiche affrontate e delle strategie adottate per superate. L'integrazione di questi tre temi mira a fornire una visione completa delle competenze e delle sfide incontrate dagli educatori professionali, contribuendo così alla riflessione critica sulla formazione e sull’intervento educativo nelle comunità minorili.
