This thesis focuses on the effects of two control strategies against downy mildew and powdery mildew on Scaphoideus titanus, the main vector of the phytoplasma associated to Flavescence dorée. At the same time we evaluated the side-effects of these control strategies on predatory mites (Acari Phytoseiidae). The comparison involved two control strategies, in particular a "Farm" treatment that relied almost entirely on synthetic fungicides, and an "Experimental" treatment that employed products characterized by a low environmental impact and reduced risks to human health. The trials were conducted in a vineyard in the province of Treviso during the 2023 growing season. The different control strategies did not show significant effects on the juvenile stages of S. titanus, while significant effects were observed on adults. The fungicide strategies showed significant effects on predatory mites, in particular on Amblyseius andersoni, with higher densities on the “Farm” treatment.

Abstract
The fungicide strategies showed significant effects on predatory mites, in particular on Amblyseius andersoni, with higher densities on the “Farm” treatment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
