The purpose of this thesis is to examine and redefine the concept of “luxury” in the contemporary hospitality industry, with a specific focus on the decisive role that culture takes on within modern luxury. In today's society, luxury is no longer limited to a mere display of wealth or glitz but is increasingly linked to personalized and meaningful experiences in which culture plays a central role. Different keys to understanding the concept of “culture” will be proposed, specifically analyzing the themes of “acculturation” and “corporate culture” as key factors in creating a distinctive and authentic luxury offering. An anthropological and pedagogical approach will be explored to analyze these elements. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, with a focus on the Mandarin Oriental Milan, will be used as a case study to illustrate in an applied way how a luxury brand can integrate culture both locally and globally, offering its guests experiences that go beyond just staying, creating a true cultural dialogue.

Abstract
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, with a focus on the Mandarin Oriental Milan, will be used as a case study to illustrate in an applied way how a luxury brand can integrate culture both locally and globally, offering its guests experiences that go beyond just staying, creating a true cultural dialogue.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
