The purpose of my experimental thesis is to investigate how parental skills and well-being, examined both through self-report questionnaires and through observation of parent-child interaction, can influence, both positively and negatively, the emerging motor skills of children aged 36 to 50 months. The paper will be divided into 4 chapters. The first two chapters will be purely theoretical and, specifically, the first will address the link between parenting and child development while the second will focus on motor development in early childhood. The third and fourth chapters will deal with the actual research. Specifically, the third will investigate the method, the instruments used, the objectives of the study, the research hypotheses and, finally, the results of both the descriptive and correlation analyses; the fourth, on the other hand, will discuss the results in light of the literature, followed by a conclusion outlining the implications of the data obtained, the limitations of the study and the prospects for future research.
L’elaborato sarà suddiviso in 4 capitoli.

Abstract
The purpose of my experimental thesis is to investigate how parental skills and well-being, examined both through self-report questionnaires and through observation of parent-child interaction, can influence, both positively and negatively, the emerging motor skills of children aged 36 to 50 months. The paper will be divided into 4 chapters. The first two chapters will be purely theoretical and, specifically, the first will address the link between parenting and child development while the second will focus on motor development in early childhood. The third and fourth chapters will deal with the actual research. Specifically, the third will investigate the method, the instruments used, the objectives of the study, the research hypotheses and, finally, the results of both the descriptive and correlation analyses; the fourth, on the other hand, will discuss the results in light of the literature, followed by a conclusion outlining the implications of the data obtained, the limitations of the study and the prospects for future research.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
