Adolescence represents a critical developmental period characterized by significant emotional and psychological changes, and the difficulties encountered by young individuals often impact their mental health. As a result, the onset of anxiety symptoms is common during this developmental stage, profoundly affecting an individual's well-being and growth. Literature findings indicate that difficulties in emotional regulation and high levels of intolerance of uncertainty are significant predictors of increased anxiety symptoms in adolescence. Specifically, the primary aim of this thesis is to investigate the relationship between emotional dysregulation and intolerance of uncertainty, and their contribution to the presence of anxiety symptoms in a non-clinical group of Italian adolescents.

Literature findings indicate that difficulties in emotional regulation and high levels of intolerance of uncertainty are significant predictors of increased anxiety symptoms in adolescence. Specifically, the primary aim of this thesis is to investigate the relationship between emotional dysregulation and intolerance of uncertainty, and their contribution to the presence of anxiety symptoms in a non-clinical group of Italian adolescents.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
