Il Sé e l'Altro: un'esplorazione dell'Identità attraverso le Relazioni Sociali alla luce del pensiero di A. Cavarero, J. Butler e Z. Bauman

The thesis aims is study the raport between identity and relationships, following the identity crisis occurring in contemporary society, which Zygmunt Bauman describes as "liquidity." To navigate this evolving scenario, is necessary to explore the thoughts of two feminist philosophers: Adriana Cavarero and Judith Butler. This work is structured into two chapters. The first one presents Adriana Cavarero's ideas, focusing on the more relevant and advantageous consequences of the relational character of identity. She emphasizes the individuality and uniqueness of people, the centrality of self-narration, the importance of female narratives, the identity emerges between relationships with others in society. The second chapter we focuses on the thoughts of feminist philosopher Judith Butler, the her main aim is found the problem in the relathionship beetween the people. Butler is concentrates on the definition of performative acts and their consequences, highlighting the profound influence of others' words in the individual’s conscience. She also deffend diversity and the concept of gender performativity, criticizing the normative categories of gender and sexuality. In conclusion, is difficult to navigate in this environment, people search support to fix their identity. People in many case can be found the support in the wrong person bringing incorret and deleterious growth or in a few cases can be found positive person.

La tesi elaborata si propone di studiare il rapporto tra identità e relazione, in seguito alla crisi dell’identità che si verifica nella società contemporanea, definita “liquida” da Zigmunt Bauman. Per poterci orientare in questo mutato scenario è fecondo esplorare il pensiero di due filosofe femministe: Adriana Cavarero e Judith Butler. Questo operato è strutturato in due capitoli. Nel primo viene presentato il pensiero di Adriana Cavarero, la quale descrive le conseguenze più rilevanti e vantaggiose del carattere relazionale dell’identità, soffermandosi sulla singolarità e unicità degli individui, sulla centralità della narrazione del sé, sull’importanza delle narrazioni femminili e sull’identità che si crea in seguito alle interazioni e relazioni con gli altri all’interno della società. Il secondo capitolo verterà sul pensiero della filosofa femminista Judith Butler, la quale tratta delle sfide e dei problemi più significativi derivanti dalla natura relazionale dell’identità. La filosofa si concentra sulla definizione degli atti performativi e sulle loro conseguenze; quindi, sull’influenza profonda che le parole degli altri esercitano su un individuo. Inoltre, si dedica alla lotta della diversità e al concetto di performatività di genere, criticando le categorie normative di genere e sessualità. In conclusione, dato che è complicato orientarsi in questo ambiente, le persone cercano supporto per definire la loro identità. Principalmente, si appoggiano alle relazioni interpersonali, che possono risultare altrettanto costruttive quanto deleterie.
