Biomarkers in psychiatric diagnosis have been studied a lot in recent years, but the fruits of this efforts have not been fully exploited yet. Thanks to neuroimaging techniques and "omics" studies, we could get a fundamental overview of the biological bases that underlie many psychiatric diseases. This would help improve the choice of treatment and identify these pathologies early, in order to prevent the onset of more debilitating symptoms.
I biomarcatori nella diagnosi psichiatrica sono stati studiati molto negli ultimi anni, ma i cui frutti non sono ancora stati sfruttati al meglio. Grazie alle tecniche di neuroimmagine e agli studi "omics", si potrebbe arrivare ad avere una panoramica fondamentale delle basi bilogiche che sottostanno a numerose malattie psichiatriche. Questo contribuirebbe a migliorare la scelta del trattamento e a individuare queste patologie in modo anticipato, per poter prevenire l'insorgenza di sintomi più debilitanti.
