The thesis analyzes the impact of environmental conditions on the behavior of laying hens raised in a multi-level aviary cage-free system. In a context where alternatives to caged systems are gaining increasing importance for improving animal welfare, the study focuses on the significance of managing environmental parameters such as air quality, temperature, humidity, light, and sound intensity. The experimental activity involved the combined use of environmental sensors and video recordings to monitor, in real time, both the environment and the behavioral responses of the animals. The results aim to support more effective management strategies for improving welfare and productivity in cage-free systems.

Abstract
The thesis analyzes the impact of environmental conditions on the behavior of laying hens raised in a multi-level aviary cage-free system. In a context where alternatives to caged systems are gaining increasing importance for improving animal welfare, the study focuses on the significance of managing environmental parameters such as air quality, temperature, humidity, light, and sound intensity. The experimental activity involved the combined use of environmental sensors and video recordings to monitor, in real time, both the environment and the behavioral responses of the animals. The results aim to support more effective management strategies for improving welfare and productivity in cage-free systems.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
