This thesis aims to examine, through bibliographic research, whether individuals who are equally proficient in two languages and who belong to two different cultures, better defined as bilingual bicultural individuals, possess two sets of personalities, depending on the language they are using or the linguistic context in which they find themselves in a current moment. The present work analyzes three academic articles that try to examine the influence of bicultural bilingualism on personality through different instruments, such as the Big Five. The first article focuses on Spanish-English bicultural bilingual individuals, the second on the influence of bicultural bilingualism on the social sphere, and the third offers a critique of the second article. The analysis of these articles shows that, as of now, there is no definitive and univocal answer on the question of this thesis. However, the research that has been conducted so far sheds light on an interesting phenomenon that, after further examinations, could help obtain a clearer and more comprehensive answer. For this reason, in the final chapter of this thesis, future research is proposed.
