"Chi è normale? Un approfondimento educativo del pensiero di G. Canguilhem"

The thesis aims to problematize the concept of normality in order to offer some possible theoretical and practical resources that may be useful for education in the field of disability. To achieve this goal, the first part of the thesis will develop an analysis of the thought of Georges Canguilhem (1904–1995), with particular focus on his work The Normal and the Pathological (1943). The second part will delve into the role of the educator, emphasizing the importance of educational care as a means to improve quality of life—even for individuals whom society classifies as non-normal. The final part will describe the internship experience carried out at the mental health institution CAMPO VERDE.

La tesi si propone di problematizzare il concetto di normalità al fine di offrire alcune possibili risorse teoriche e pratiche che siano utili per l’educazione nell’ abilito della disabilità. Per raggiungere questo obiettivo la tesi nella prima parte svilupperà un'analisi del pensiero di Georges Canguilhem (1904-1995) con particolare riguardo alla sua opera Il normale e il patologico (1943). Nella seconda parte verrà svolto un approfondimento in merito al ruolo dell'educatore sostenendo l'importanza della cura educativa, per una migliore qualità di vita, anche per i soggetti classificati dalla nostra società come non normali. L’ultima parte descrivera' l' esperienza di tirocinio svolta presso l’ente di salute mentale CAMPO VERDE
