This project aims to investigate the social functioning profile of individuals with Down syndrome by analyzing the characteristics and ways in which they interact with others in various social contexts to obtain information on how an individual communicates, relates and behaves in social situations. This is to identify the presence of a syndrome-specific social functioning profile and to detect levels of variability. In addition, this project aims to investigate which variables influence socialization: the variables that will be studied refer to environmental factors (family, parents, school environment, interactions with teachers and classmates, activities. extracurriculars such as sports, music or theater) and individual variables (executive functions, language, theory of mind). Specifically, in this paper, we go on to analyze the relationship between social skills and language.
