Difficulties in emotional regulation represent a clinically significant feature in neurodevelopmental disorders, contributing substantially to the impairment of global functioning and the need for clinical intervention. In parallel, the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), perceived parental bonding, and psychopathological indicators on developmental trajectories is well documented in the literature. The present study aims to examine the association between levels of emotional dysregulation (ED) and three specific domains: adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), perceived parenting style, and psychopathological indices, in a sample of 44 adolescents (ages 11–18; M = 14.05; SD = 1.54) diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder. Descriptive analyses, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and regression analysis were conducted on data collected through validated psychometric instruments, with the goal of exploring the relationships between the variables under investigation and observed levels of ED. Findings are discussed in light of the existing empirical literature, with attention to potential clinical implications.

Abstract
Findings are discussed in light of the existing empirical literature, with attention to potential clinical implications.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
