The active involvement of parents in pediatric rehabilitation represents a key factor in the effectiveness of interventions. Despite extensive evidence supporting a family-centered approach, clinical practice often shows difficulties in ensuring continuous and active participation by families, which makes the child’s rehabilitation process more challenging. This thesis aims to investigate the factors that hinder parents’ active involvement in their children’s rehabilitation therapy. Starting from the principles of the Family-Centered Care model, the study explores the importance of collaboration between therapists and families, focusing on the difficulties encountered in clinical practice. Through the design and administration of a questionnaire addressed to 10 parents of children receiving care at the Child Neuropsychiatry Service in the district of Padua, several areas were examined: understanding of therapeutic goals, application of recommendations at home, family support, and practical barriers such as schedules, distance, and work commitments. The results were integrated with a brief description of the clinical cases of reference, in order to better contextualize the responses obtained. The thesis concludes with a reflection on the main critical issues that emerged and proposes operational strategies to foster greater family involvement in rehabilitation pathways.

Abstract
The thesis concludes with a reflection on the main critical issues that emerged and proposes operational strategies to foster greater family involvement in rehabilitation pathways.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
