IL MERCATO DEL KIWI: OFFERTA, DOMANDA E OPPORTUNITA’ DI VALORIZZAZIONE DEL PRODOTTO

This dissertation develops into three chapters dealing with the kiwi as a healthy fruit product and as an interesting product for the fruit and vegetables market. In the first chapter we will see in detail what the kiwi is made of and which are its nutritional properties together with the benefits it can bring to our metabolism. In the second chapter, some charts have been reported, which have been created from data gathered from the “UnData” database by FAO, related to the kiwifruit areas and productions in the reference period 2016-2021, thereby providing a general overview of the trends. In the third final chapter the focus is placed on Italy, analysing its cultivated areas and production. This dissertation shows that, in 2021, Italy took the second place in terms of cultivated areas and world export. This means that our Country plays a strategic role in the world market of this fruit.

Questo elaborato si sviluppa in tre capitoli che trattano il kiwi in quanto prodotto benefico per la salute e di interesse per il mercato ortofrutticolo. Nel primo capitolo si vedrà nel dettaglio come è composto il kiwi e quali sono le sue proprietà nutrizionali e i benefici che può apportare al metabolismo. Nel secondo capitolo, sono riportati alcuni grafici creati a partire dai dati consultati attraverso il database “UnData” della FAO, relativi a superfici e produzioni del frutto dell’actinidia nel periodo di riferimento 2016-2021, fornendo quindi una visione generale degli andamenti. Nel terzo capitolo viene posto il focus sull’Italia, analizzando superfici coltivate e produzione. Dal seguente elaborato di tesi si evince che, nel 2021, l’Italia si è posizionata al secondo posto in termini di superficie coltivata ed export mondiale. Questo a simboleggiare che il nostro Paese detiene un ruolo strategico nel mercato mondiale di tale frutto.
