Here, for measuring RJA has been expressly developed recorded-video based assessment, during that a model recalls infants’ attention through her voice and eye-contact toward a stimulus; through the use of an eye-tracker, the infant's eye movements were recorded in response to the model’s behaviour.

Abstract
Joint attention is an ability that emerges at an early age and involves two social partners who are both interested in a third object or an event which is part of the experience. This triadic experience can be described like composed by different ways in which can be manifested. For what concerns this study, it will be focused on Responding Joint Attention (RJA), during that toddlers answer and participate when invited by an adult. This component has been studied for many years because it promotes the development of socioemotional and linguistic skills,. Despite that, most of these conclusions are based on researches that have only consider one kind of sample described with the acronym “WEIRD” (Western Educated Instructed Rich Democratic) rarely considering samples which are not part of this category . This research proposes to consider that samples which are not considered WEIRD, more specifically, migrant toddlers in order to avoid running into “sampling bias”, considering as possible influence factor for RJA efficiency , both the socioeconomic status and acculturation stress, lived by the mothers. Here, for measuring RJA has been expressly developed recorded-video based assessment, during that a model recalls infants’ attention through her voice and eye-contact toward a stimulus; through the use of an eye-tracker, the infant's eye movements were recorded in response to the model’s behaviour.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
